Full Version: I like the new skin, but I have a couple of problems with it.

Since this looks a lot like the skin Kizzume developed for OTL, I assume it's his work. Anyway, its overall impact is great. But there are a few places where dark blue type is superimposed on a dark background, making it damn near impossible for these old eyes to read. The part that bothers me most about it is that "view new posts" is in that no contrast combination. Any chance of correcting it?

I'll ask Kizzume (who did do the skin) to look into it. It's not quite complete yet, and there are some bugs to work out. A bug I've noticed is on the IPSB 2.3 skin; some of the type is white, disappearing into the background. It may be a bug, and I'll work on correcting that as well. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. In the meantime, there are other skins wherein the type is fine. The Desert and Classic Blue are but two examples.

I'm really struggling with this. The problem I'm having is that some things have a dark on light and others have a light on dark, and I haven't figured out a way to isolate the area at the top and a couple other spots so when it is a field that currently has a dark/dark combo, that the color of links (which is the problem--it's the link color for the whole page) would be different for that area. Once I can figure that out, things will be much better.

It was initially something I thought I could get fixed really easily, so I didn't even really talk about it much, but I'm finding more and more that it is a really tricky bugger.

There may be someone who knows the answer to this--but I may have to change it altogether to be so the whole "Constitutional Zoning" skin is either light on dark or dark on light.

I would like to set up a poll on this, and I will do that in my next thread.
