Together at last: LeBron joining Wade, Bosh
James ends months of speculation, will leave Cleveland for Miami

LeBron James wanted to play with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. The only place that could happen was Miami.

Get ready, NBA: A superstar trio is born.

Ending weeks of silence and drama, the two-time MVP said on his ESPN special from Greenwich, Conn. on Thursday night that he's decided to join the Miami Heat and leave the Cleveland Cavaliers after an unsuccessful seven-year quest for the championship he covets.

"The best opportunity to win and to win now and to win in the future also," James said. "Winning is a huge thing for me."

Like I said when I posted a news link on my FaceBook profile, maybe Cleveland can now get to the business of fixing itself instead of pinning its sense self-worth on retaining some egotistical brat ball player...NOT.

It looks as though the owner struck back with forceful words of his own;

Jackson is just plain wrong on this. This isn't about racism. It's about some spoiled brat ball player disrespecting the home town that gave him a career. He's free to go wherever he chooses. That's not the issue. The issue is that after the time, money, and energy invested in building Lebron James' career, the prima donna shows such blatant contempt for a town without which he would be nothing. If James was a tomato-picker working in the deep south for pennies on the dollar, the slavery analogy would be an apt one. But he isn't. He's an overpaid sports player who obviously doesn't think much of his home town and who helps perpetuate a cycle of abuse by letting Cleveland pin all its hopes and dreams and sense of self-worth on a guy who hates our guts.

I don't believe LeBron hates Cleveland, but I do think he's selfish and what he did was over the top egotistical and self centered. As for Rev. Jackson, I felt as if all he wanted to do was get his own name in the news.

Jackson does like the spotlight, but he's entitled to his opinion. I just happen to disagree with him on it.

I never said he wasn't entitled to his opinion. Everyone is entitled. Trying to find some thing to disagree with me on?
