I know I've judged you pretty harshly in the past about how you go after people for spelling--but lately I've been finding myself to get just as frustrated as you have with spelling. I don't go after them as harshly as you, but I do become just as frustrated with them.

Text messaging has really brought this issue to a head for me, and I've been going a number of places where people just don't feel they need to even begin to spell out whole words.

and stuff like that I just can't deal with anymore without saying at least SOMETHING. I really can't associate people who type that way with intelligence. And yes, there are rare exceptions to this, but they're certainly not in the majority.

On a side note

I am disgusted with how democrats aren't really liberal at all and the travesty of a healthcare bill that's been pushed forth that's pretty much a guaranteed revenue stream to insurance companies is just .... a travesty, a tragedy, horrible, awful. Forcing everyone to buy insurance is NOT a good healthcare plan.

Now, I will argue that right now, any extra spending by the government is not a good thing---we're in a huge financial hole right now, but if we're going to spend the money, we should spend it wisely, not giving insurance companies a guaranteed revenue stream.

I'm absolutely disgusted with the democrats right now. I'm disgusted that any attempts to rank on the way Obama is doing anything gets automatically labeled "racist". The democrats are NOT liberal, they're far from it. We have no liberal party, and that's very sad.

I simply find it irritating that people cannot be bothered to use proper spelling and grammar. It denoted laziness on the part of the person making the argument. It also makes it difficult to make out what a person is trying to say. If I have to spend more time trying to decipher some bit of gibberish than actually addressing the argument, then the argument is already too weak to bother with. I consider it mildly insulting, though not as much as being lied to.
