I am considering eventually buying Krugman's textbook on economics. Is it any good?

No idea. But if it starts telling you that supply-side economics are a good thing, or that trickle-down actually works, throw it in the garbage.

Krugman is as liberal as they come! A die-hard neo-Keynesian, Krugman wouldn't be caught dead advocating Reaganomics. In fact, he critiqued it in his book Peddling Prosperity. I expect his college-level textbook to pretty much survey modern economics from a Keynesian viewpoint.
