I have some good news! I was able to send a former professor a draft for a paper that I wrote. My paper is a writing sample that I am going to submit to San Francisco State University's philosophy department's Master's program. If my former professor thinks it's a good paper and I send it in before November 1st, then, chances are, I will be accepted into the program. Meanwhile, by tomorrow, I plan on finishing my application for graduate school. I need to use the computer at my dad's workplace (I am using a laptop to submit this post). If I am successful with this writing sample and with the application, I should be notified of my admittance probably as late as December.
Once accepted, I plan to start working out the details of where I am going to be living and how I am going to support myself while I am studying for my Master's degree. I have also discovered a website that is offering payments for articles that are of interests to religious skeptics. I am hoping that if I can write some quality articles on creation/evolution, miracles, theism/atheism, and topics of importance to skeptics and people of faith alike, then I can make some greater extra money that I can use to help pay for my used car. I went through a list of topics and came up with over 20 potential topic titles. Now I just have to get to work and hopefully, I will have my first article complete by next week!
