Great looking site and I'm happy I found it, I'm always looking for a place to have interesting discussions. I consiser myself a liberal, but have an open mind and will listen to and get along with almost anybody, as long as they are respectful. I have great concern about poverty in this country and have witnessed too much bullying going on in many places over this issue. They/we are HUMAN BEINGS and deserve to treated with respect and enjoy the same rights as we all do.

Now I'm gonna check the place out to see what's up.

Through a link on "the Smirking Chimp". I saw the quote from JFK and that drew me in, also I love the name "Liberal Pride"!!

Ah, so you would be Chuck, then, am I right? I'm glad to have you aboard. (Thanks for the compliment on the Kennedy quote, by the way. ) I think the word "liberal" has been transformed into a dirty word, so my primary intention with this site is to provide a place where we on the left aren't made to feel ashamed of our views and positions.

I am a 52 year old born again liberal who was part of the Reagan Democrats and I totally bought into Conservative ideas
In a perfect world they should work, BUT The greedy Corporations and the way Wall street works I realized that unregulated Corporations are among the worst and most evil things in the World. I am very optimistic that the world will be a better place with the move to the left.
